2012 SASH Sleepout - 10 March, Kirkbymoorside

Following the success of three previous churchyard sleepouts in aid of SASH, the Kirkbymoorside team is taking to the streets this year! You are welcome to join us.

The idea is to raise awareness of homelessness as well as money for the SASH Nightstop project. Asking for sponsorship is a great opportunity to talk about the issues and engage a wider audience who may not have thought about young people in their own communities facing such problems in their lives.

We are not martyrs and we definitely don’t want anyone getting hypothermia, so sleeping bags and camping mats are definitely allowed... but not tents. That would be cheating! Bring plenty of cardboard... the pavements are hard and big boxes make great shelters!

Guidance for first-timers will be given when you register, along with a sponsorship form. For reasons of safety and to keep the authorities happy, it is important that all sleepers register with the organiser Sarah Ware (see below). Under 17s MUST be accompanied by a responsible adult.

2012 SASH Sleepout- 13 March, York Minster

On Tuesday 13 March a group of staff, trustees, volunteers and supporters will be spending the night sleeping rough outside York Minster. We are doing this to highlight the threat of homelessness faced by a growing number of young people in York, and to raise funds for the SASH Nightstop project.

Participants are asked to raise sponsorship for SASH Nightstop. You can do this online on our Virgin Money Giving page or request a sponsorship form here.
